GIVING

Why Give?

Because You Can Make a Difference!

Alumni, parents, former teachers and staff, and friends like you assure that Clear Spring School will never stop transforming lives. For over 40 years, Clear Spring has been one of the exemplary models of progressive education in the U.S. Your gift, whatever its size, makes a huge difference in assuring the ‘Clear Spring Experience’ will be available to new generations of students. Gifts like yours are investments in the future of the school and its students, students whose lives are dramatically impacted by the existence of this small private school in Northwest Arkansas.

Your gift will go toward reducing the gap that exists between tuition income and operational expenses and will provide the young people here with many of the extras that make Clear Spring so unique. Some of these extras include but are not limited to:

  • Salaries for Enrichment Teachers and Clubs

  • Updating equipment, computers, 3-D printers, WiFi, microscopes, saw blades, and other materials used in the learning by doing concept.

  • Adding new transportation/destinations to our Travel program

  • Providing week-long art classes through the Eureka Springs School of the Arts

  • Teaching materials and guest speakers

  • Field trips

  • Extras for Outdoor Education and Camping trips

  • And all of the minutiae that makes the progressive educational experience at Clear Spring so distinctive.

The reward for your philanthropy is to make a difference in the world, the reward for your gift to Clear Spring School is to make a significant difference in the lives of young people. Become part of the legacy of Clear Spring School, a school that has been sending young people into the world for over 40 years with a sense of community and a desire to serve in their hearts, who strive to make a difference in their world.

Ways To Give:

1. Adopt Excellence!

Monthly or annual contributions by our Adopt Excellence! Partners replenish our scholarship funding pool for those families receiving need-based scholarships. Some donors choose to earmark their donations specifically to our Adopt Excellence program as there are many families in our area that need assistance in order for their child to benefit from a Clear Spring School education.

2. Annual Fund

The Annual Fund at The Clear Spring School is a vehicle to provide support for programs and operations across the CSS campus. This fundraising effort is an important source of operational support for academic excellence including scholarships, equipment, faculty development and special projects. Annual Fund gifts come from alumni, Board members, friends, parents, and foundations.

The Annual Fund campaign was established in 2002 by the CSS Board to replace the Annual Giving campaign in order to create a year long fundraising effort to better the educational environment on campus. Gifts are tax deductible and can be given on an automatic payment schedule to fit everyone’s budget.

Participation by our CSS families helps to acquire foundation dollars in the form of grants, which look at parental and community contributions in the fundraiser to gage the support the school has in the community. The Annual Fund is the most effective means available for making the CSS experience the best it can be for our deserving students.

This resource can be used quickly and flexibly to meet needs whenever and wherever they arise. As a result, those contributing can take further pride in knowing that your donation is going towards keeping the CSS spirit of learning with hands on, hearts engaged education for Carroll County children.

Annual Fund FAQ:

Q: If I pledge a gift this year when do I have to pay?A: When you pledge, designate a time that you will be sending your gift. You can designate anytime as long as it is within the fiscal year, unless you wish to make a planned gift of over 3 to 5 years.

Q: What is a matching gift?
A: You or your partner may work for a company and their subsidiaries will match employee’s gifts to non-profits. Some companies will even double or triple your contribution. Contact the companies Human Resources office to find out if your company has a matching fit program.

Q: Are there various ways of giving to the Annual Fund?
A: Most gifts arrive in the form of check or credit card payment. Gifts can also be made on a monthly basis through automatic bank draft. For tax advantages, donors sometimes make gifts in the form of appreciated stocks, bonds, or mutual fund shares.

Annual Fund is a necessity, not a luxury. Please give as generously as you can. After all, this is our children’s education, one of the most important investments you can make!

3. The Endowment

In 2000, the Clear Spring School Endowment Fund was established with the Northwest Arkansas Community Foundation. The goal of the Endowment Fund is to build up a solid principal over time and to then provide a source of revenue through distribution of interest. Donors may create a legacy by supporting quality education through their gifts to the Clear Spring School Endowment Fund.

4. Give Your Time

"Hands on. Hearts engaged." is not just the motto of the Clear Spring Community: It's who we are. Clear Spring hosts several fundraisers and community events throughout the year that wouldn't happen if it weren't for the assistance and time of our supporters. If you are interested in becoming involved, keep an eye on our calendar and facebook page for upcoming events.
